As the spring turned to summer, top prospects stopped by to wrap up their regular and/or postseasons. From Chase Dollander to Paul Skenes, Dylan Crews to Kyle Teel, and some million-dollar arms in Hoover, I went on the road to fill out the rest of my notebook and put a stamp on my 2023 coverage. Rhett Lowder got the ball in the series opener vs. the Clemson Tigers and put together yet another quality start for the Demon Deacons. He sat 92-94 with the fastball, with good late armside run that got bad swings from Tiger hitters all evening. Jansen Kenty pitched five innings against Whitewater, allowing four runs in his last inning of work that sullied what was otherwise a dominant outing. Kenty is around six foot tall with sloped shoulders and thickness is present in the lower half and arms. He works off a fastball in the 89-92 MPH range, with above average carrying life. Luke McNeillie didn’t have his best command in his first start of the Spring, but battled and gave Milton four innings of scoreless ball. He sat 90-93 MPH with his fastball, touching 94 early with good carry, and mainly worked in a good low 80s slider that flashed plus bite.
